Wk8 R2 - I love the smell of manure in the morning!

Set off in the rain for my run this morning - only the second time I have run in the rain since I started the programme - it's been a great summer. My run takes me along a lovely cycle path in the country but boy was I glad I breathe through my mouth and not my nose as the farmers have been busy muck spreading and it didn't half stink! Not a bad run today - very tired but happy that's another one under my belt. Today's motivational song which came on near the end, just when I needed it was What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger - very true!!

  • Good for you running in the rain. I remember that song well and yes it comes on at exactly the right time. I do admit to liking most of the music

  • Haha. We have a countryside race every June past farmers fields. I've had the same smell experience. Usually hits me at the top of one of the hills as I'm gasping for air. It does work as a distraction from what ails you though!

  • I love to run in the rain! Manure doesn't sound quite so nice but still... Week 8 nearly done! Graduation week is within sight! :)

  • Ah! Manure in the rain - got to love the English countryside!

  • Ha ha a very appropriate song. Running in the rain is brilliant. I always feel about 8years old again!! 😃😃

  • I settle for hen muck rather than car fumes I've changed my route from the main road to a slightly less busy road . Our park is down wind of a sewage farm !! So we do have lovely woods and maybe one day I can run to them run round them and back again at the moment it's only a thought , still never say never
