I have been trying to help the badgers who are being persecuted in Dorset, so I did W5R2 trotting through Dorset lanes in pouring rain - the rain was actually very refreshing and helped me because some of the lanes were v-e-r-y steep... I had worried about knees n shins and stuff because I don't normally run on roads, but no negative after-effects
So today VeganNelly and our kids and I all tackled W5R3. I was feeling a bit knackered after getting back from Dorset yesterday with sore feet and very tired legs so I took my (rather wayward) dogs with me so I would know they had had a good run about and not require anything else too demanding from me...
We then had all sorts of technical diffs with Laura going on strike and I ended up having to set the alarm on my fone for 20 minutes and run it without any sporty motivational music ... but anyway... we did it and bizarrely, after this being the first one I was seriously a bit dubious about, it was one of the easiest?
Because we didn't have Laura giving us any stats, my son finally said that he wished he knew where we were up to..and I realised I could check on my fone, but we both hoped we weren't in for an awful shock and would find out we'd only been running for 5 minutes... although I was fairly sure we were past halfway..
So we were really gratified to discover we had done 18 minutes already!
Tired dogs... who I think are doing 5k to Couch....
