Hi. I'm starting on the journey to lose about 4 and a half stone, and rediscover myself. I am a lapsed gym bunny and cyclist, who now prefers to relax in the evenings with Widdlepig rather than walk the dogs or do any form of exercise.

My best advice is take it slow. Really really slow. The running is meant to be a slow jog, so don't just head out and run full pelt. Slow and steady and trust in the programme. It builds you up gradually and soon you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish. Good luck and keep us posted of your progress!
Ooh, a pair of Widdlepigs! They can widdle and waddle off together until they get fitter and thinner. Then no more waddling, just lots of running. Welcome - love the names!

Well done for taking the first step! The C25k programme is just amazing, you know how great exercise can be if you used to love it. Go slow, stretch, take your rest days and you'll be a runner before you know it!
