Well! You've done the hardest part - making the decision to do the programme. Welcome to this blog site of wacky, kind and supporting people who understand just where you are at and if you ever start to have problems or niggling worries there will always be someone who can encourage you, answer your questions - or when necessary give you a kick in the bum!

You will have good runs and poor runs. Enjoy the good ones and kick the bad ones into touch and move on. Keep it all 'slow and steady' at the start so you don't tire yourself early on in the runs.

You have so many positive improvements in your well being heading your way!

Good luck and enjoy the journey! :) :) :)

Welcome to the programme. As everyone will say, and have said, just take it slow and steady and you will be fine. Well done for taking the decision to get started and I wish you and your friend every success with your running. Best wishes.

Great news that you are committed to starting. Great you are starting with a friend so you can spur each other on and you will have someone to talk running talk with. You are gonna wanna talk about your progress, believe me.

Take rest days between runs. Don't miss a rest day. Stretch post run always to avoid stiffness next day.

Good luck!
