Took the chance of using a free session at the local leisure centre to get myself motivated for my first run by using the treadmill. I can't say that I did very much running but it was a good first attempt

It was as much to give myself a reality check and see what level I was at in a sum what safe environment.

Well done on the first attempt. A word of warning (?). I've done all my running at the local leisure centre and have found it extremely difficult to get to the great outdoors. With hindsight I'd have mixed and matched.
