First outing with Gordon today and I was really impressed. I had planned to compare it with RunKeeper, but it didn't want to start until about 15mins into my run... I can see Runkeeper getting retired very soon as I have been able import all my previous runs into Garmin Connect.

I had a nice 'longish' run of 7.5k which included running along an old railway line... This was a nice new route that I will use again... only met one other person, a runner, we waved and grinned accordingly. :-)

I know that a lot of you already use Garmin's and Garmin Connect, but I am really impressed with the information it displays. I also loved the virtual pacer that I used during my run.

Happy New year to you all and once again, thanks for all the support... i'm sure I couldn't have done what I have without you. :-)

Oooooo how do you put old run keeper runs into Garmin? I got one half way through the year so having both in one place for stats etc would be great! Happy running :)

I am using tapiriik.com. Its quiet straight forward to set-up and it worked for me and its free if you are happy to "sync" manually. It will copy your activities both ways apparently.

Thanks for that Andy, will check it out once the PC makes it back into action (it's currently having a holiday as the Christmas tree is where the dining table and PC normally live, house is too small for both!) :)

Thanks Rob... Happy New Year to you to :-) Certainly will be interesting to compare running notes this time next year!! Think a running conversation this time last year wouldn't have lasted long!!

I'm sure you will get that sub 30 5k!!! Think you might get it on your next run :-)

Have a good parkrun tomorrow.. think you said you were doing one. :-)

That would have been a very short coversation and followed by lots of laughing.

Yeah NYD Parkrun tomorrow morning :-D we will see about that time . Haven't run this week yet . Would be a great way to start the year.

I am seriously impressed with your distances Andy :-D

That is 1 of my resutions for 2015 to train upto 10 k :-D

I've seen photos on Pinterest similar to that, entitled "Runner's Porn" ... also very envious of your new Garmin/Gordon ... shallow of me i know ... sounds like it/he's going to help you come along in literally leaps and bounds! Happy New Year to the both of you!

Pleased to see how much you love Gordon. I took delivery of Gertrude yesterday (also a forerunner 10) and can't wait to take her out tomorrow.
