I've been starting each of my weeks on a Saturday so taking part in the I am Team GB event was a bonus. I also checked out a cycle path near me, and discovered a whole network of paths, perfect for runs The run felt good, took it steady, and managed a little bit extra on top of the last 5 minute run

W4R1 aka my I am Team GB Run
I found, when I started to run, all these places I never knew existed! Exciting isn't it? Well done to you.
Well done, Rosie958 :). Great to hear that you are enjoying finding new places to run.
I was due to do week 4, run 1 yesterday at my local Parkrun 'I am Team GB' event and set up my phone to play the podcast from just before the end of the warmup walk. I was all psyched up to run for 3 mins so imagine my horror when Laura announced that it was nearly time to start the first of three 5 minute runs. She'd only gone and skipped to the next podcast. Eeeek!!
Still, I decided to give it a go, and although I had to stop running and go back to a brisk walk during the first rep, I made it to the end. Totally knackered but I shaved over half a minute off my previous PB. Now I need to decide whether to do week 5 run 2 for my next outing, or go back to where I should be with week 4. And a few weeks ago I never thought I would be able to run for more than 30 seconds!
We can definitely do this! Keep going, and keep enjoying your runs. X
Yay, go you! I am building up to doing the Edinburgh parkrun, as it's near me. I'm often working on a Saturday so it might be a week or two yet...
