Everyone at the parkrun today was lovely and so friendly!! I completed it in 42 minutes which I was happy with. The trail runner was lovely too as were the marshals cheering everybody on. Will definitely be going again βΊππ

Yay first parkrun at Daventry
I was timekeeper at my home parkrun this morning and it was great to encourage people in the last few metres of their run and see the look of relief/happiness on their faces.
Yes in my case it was def relief having asked several Marshalls on the way round if 'I was nearly there yet!' You volunteers do a great job. Will certainly be putting my name forward for volunteering roles.
Marshalling is probably the easiest role but you could be stood on your own. Finish tokens and barcode scanning is a bit more sociable as there is often more than one person doing those jobs together.
What's in a name...everything Happy post, happy park run, HappyRunner
Well done you - congratulations
Well done on doing your first park run. I haven't done one yet though I graduated in May.
It was really good so I would really recommend trying one. I found running on my own and running with a group of people a completely different kettle of fish. I was trying to keep up with everyone at first, found I had gone too quickly then had to do a mixture of walking and running later on. Having achieved a non stop 10k run on my own it was a bit of a shock. Yes so def try one when you can and fellow runners are very friendly! π
Well done HappyRunner glad you enjoyed your first Park Run and did so well - happy youππΎπ
Hi, congratulations on your ParkRun. I am thinking of doing the Daventry ParkRun too. I was just wondering what the running surface is like? Is it flat, on concrete or track. Does it get muddy?
