Week 1 Run 2 - Painless and much more fun!

Yesterday I did run 2 after work - walking/jogging along the river to the Park and Ride. My first run wasn't entirely pleasurable - but the feeling on finishing was great. I also ached for days!

However yesterday was much better and I'm so pleased! I didn't keep watching my phone counting down the seconds until my next walk, I didn't feel so conscious either, and the distance travelled over the time was a good chunk further than run 1. Best of all, I took your advice and did a few stretches after the warm down walk - and haven't ached at all!

I felt my feet were slapping less, even though I was wearing the same shoes - perhaps it was a case of me taking things more easy from the outset - not sure!

Really looking forward to run 3 after work tomorrow now!

Slow and steady really is the way...the journey is yours, to be enjoyed.. take it at your pace and you will find it all follows on :)

Well done! It will probably get a bit easier as your body gets more used to it and you work out what works best for you in terms of pace, how to stretch, etc. You're doing great - sounds like you're getting the bug already :)
