Today was W9R3....The place was Stevenage Parkrun...
The result was....smashed it ππ½
This program is amazing, I have gone from struggling in the early weeks (both physically and mentally), to actually running (more a fast foot shuffle) the whole 5k. To say I am astounded is an understatement!
Things I have learnt along the way...
*Slow is ok, listen to your body π’
*to avoid a dry mouth, wedge a mint between back teeth & cheek
Ha ha - love the tag! I'm not sure fungal infections were actually mentioned! Congratulations and very well done. I'm hoping to join Banbury Park run on Saturday for my first post-grad run.
Definitely no fungal infections π Park run was brilliant, I have done 4 now (as run 3 of what ever week I was on) and have met some lovely people π
Thank you - Just in case anyone has thought I was super π’ and completed the 5k in 30 mins, thought I should add that I used the warm down music to run as well!! I dream of one day being a lean mean running machine π
Thank you...I really don't know ...I have registered for my local colour run at the end of the month, so will do W9 and repeat until then (although may attempt it without Laura and play my own music). After that....I really don't know, maybe try and look for a 5 to 10k app.......
Ha ha, totally get the issue with early runs! But it isn't a problem, it is a challenge that we have overcome... You have conquered the biggest fear: getting off that couch and proving to yourself that you can do it. Congratulations!
