Nice to have finished the run after my unexpected absence, but the run itself felt very hard - started too fast, legs felt like concrete blocks.
Still, it really was nice to be back. Once I realised I was going too fast I thought I might continue - you can see the pace dropping but I managed a personal best of 7.31/K. So that was quite nice :-).
I also stopped just after 5K rather than run the entire 'there and back' at Bradgate Park which is closer to 6K.
In my new plan of running every day tomorrow is going to be a _slow_ recovery run, as in I am going to stick to my newly-acquired cadence of 160 and stay in the easy/aerobic heart rate zone, even if I end up having to walk some of it.
So, back on track (pun intended ;-)).
