since Wednesday. Was supposed to go out Friday morning, but with a day off my full time job to work my second job (face painter/balloon twister) I was preparing for a full weekend on my feet. Friday was a 1 hour party in the afternoon, followed by a 4½ gig until 9pm (painted a girl who was running Race for Life the next day), so didn't get home until 10pm, then Saturday was a long day just outside Norwich working 12-5 non-stop. Thank goodness yesterday was just a 2 hour party!
The other half had to be at work at 6am this morning so I was up at 5 ready to leave the house when he left, but he said I looked tired and should go back to bed. I must admit my feet have suffered and my right knee has been giving me a bit of gyp lately so I took his advice.
I'll be back out there Wednesday though!

An extra day's rest will be fine. If you feel like death warmed up you won't have your head in the right place. Plenty of sleep is required for this caper, so make you get it. Good luck with your next session. Go nice and steady. Have fun!
Well, you certainly haven't just been couching, so you're definitely forgiven! I haven't run since Wednesday either - was out until late Friday at my datughters' school thing; Saturday spent the whole day walking round London, and Sunday was serious recovery from a busy few weeks (although I did manage to walk the dogs twice!). Can't tonight either as experience says I will be exhausted after doing Brownies, so tomorrow it is. No excuses.
Your OH is right - if you're truly exhausted, the rest is what you need. Especially if your knee is playing up a bit - make sure you look after yourself properly. And enjoy your run on Wednesday
