Early to bed in preparation for this morning's run. Up and out the door at 5.30am. I am sure that I heard the lark getting up. Did see lots of tree sparrow, goldfinch, blackbird, thrush and a wagtail. But enough of that. The run went well.
Yesterday I walked to the shops to get my lunch rather than jump in the car. No snacking between meals at all. Drank lots of water on the way home rather than stopping off at the garage for a drink of pop and the inevitable packet of crisps. Lots of little steps.
However the most worrying feature so far has to be ...................... I found myself quite enjoying Laura's music mix! Is there anything I can do?

Great, keep going. When you've earned the calories it does start to make you a bit fussy about how you spend them, which is a good thing..
Mmm, Laura's music, I was the same to start with, now mixed feelings, but to be fair I suppose it has to aim to encourage as many people as possible, so does that make it 'eclectic'?!?
Well done getting up early for your run. I am no where near to being a morning person so could never imagine running so early but all the bird song and freshness must have been lovely.
Well done for starting it. I am on week 5 at the moment which is not bad for someone not in the best of shape.
The early starts do have advantages in the Summer. Its much cooler to run in rather than the scorching temps in the afternoon, you do not get that many people about in the morning and it definately 'wakes' you up a bit more.
