Thanks for all the encouragement!! Out this morning at 7.30 in sea fret and light rain!! But I paced myself and it was so much better than my last run. Onto R3 in 2or 3 days time. My injured knee is still a bit niggly so I'm going to give it 2 or 3 days rest. Any more advice welcome!!

I'm right behind you - my wk6r3 is tomorrow. It may also be in sea mists as I'm off to Pembrokeshire for a few days.

You seem to be doing everything right Greylady1 .

Early start, embracing the (presumably) northern European summer, pacing yourself, being patient with niggles.

Nearly 2/3 of the program in the bag.

My advice is keep on doing what you're already doing :)

I think youre very wise having a couple of extra rest days with your knee. Its so hard to establish what is a niggle and what is an injury , its all a learning curve , I think.

Good Luck and I hope it settles itself down soon xxx

How did you find the shorter rest period between runs ? I completed week 6 day 1 this morning . I plan on repeating it on Thursday morning - I always repeat a day in each week it has really helped build stamina .

I haven't had a problem with it, I wasn't looking forward to wk 6 run 2 after having found r1 so difficult, but it was fine. I start slowly and then take time to find a good pace. As Laura says, I've found myself recovering faster as I've got a bit fitter.

Go for it, I didn't find r2 as hard as r1!!
