Arrived in Manchester for tomorrow's GMR, just had a walk around the area to get my bearings for the start and finish points. Looking forward to meeting up with some c25k runners tomorrow including our very own Queen of C25K Poppy pug, should be a great day! Luvley jubbly 😎. Have a great weekend everyone!

There's an area but not a cafe!plenty of tables and chairs, seem like plenty of cafes nearby! Xxx or we can bring stuff in as they let you eat takeaways downstairs, but breakfast is still underway til 10.30 xxx meet in foyer if not! I dont drink much pre race so dont need the loo so much!xxx

Elite women are off at 11.12 and the Men off at 11.37 it will only take them about 30 mins so hopefully we will see them at some point along the way !

Faffidge started here! Been in the bath for a soak in Epsom Salts as been on the plot in the rain today. Not ideal but it had to be done. Blow drying my hair, and sprayed on that heat protector stuff first. Any road, blowing away and could hardly get the brush through as it was like glue. I'd only gone and used ruddy hair spray! Oh botheration! Not starting all over again.

Should be ok tomorrow if there's a stiff breeze. My hair aint going anywhere. I shall be the Mary Berry of the running world.

Faffidge ometer is slowly simmering at Number 5 at the moment here. I have got some tangerine nail polish to match my top , but Gawd knows if I will be compis mentis enough tomorrow to put it on without smudging it all over the gaff. I was going to put it on tonight but going by previous experience it will be wrecked by the morning !

I have got all my gear out, must check Ive got my safety pins, Garmin on charge, putting phone on charge in a bit . I think Ive got it all under control, so far, I hope !

I did it last year for the first time. It is just an amazing event , theres 25-30,000 thousand people taking part. Theres elites, club runners, people dressed in fancy dress, animal costumes, soldiers running in full army combat gear with boots and backpacks , people running for charities, then theres a disco, choir , steel band, run in showers , Oh its just fab !!! xxx

High Noon Pops!

Already in a f*^&g flap! Instead of putting blackcurrant jam on my toast I opened the beetroot. The juice shot out all over my toast, the white worktop and all over me and my dressing gown. I now look like a member of the red-hand gang. Oh well, it'll match my face. So, toast mark II was peanut butter; much slower out the jar. Doh

Having porridge too. Just to be sure I won't get hungry. I have a big hill to power up (eg walk!)

Ha ha ! I got myself into a right flap too this morning with my safety pins, I was having an hot flush and trying to put my race number on at the same time !

I was trying to find my lucky tangerine nail polish to go with my top, I only bought the damn bottle yesterday, and could I find it ? Could I hellers like !

My hubby was saying " Stop getting yourself stressed, just stop and think for a minute " And I was like " But that's it, I cant think !!! " Waaaaahhhhhh !

Found it in the end, and managed to get it on. It looked okay ( as long as you didn't look too closely ) Ha ha ! xxx
