I'm going to read the posts - this afternoon get myself a pair of running shoes - I've been told there is a machine that dictates the shoe and tomorrow I am going to start day 1 🏃🏻 with my lovely labs

Okay! You do that! :)

Welcome to one of the best things ever.... you can totally do this... get the comfy running shoes, get those dogs on their leads and off you go!

But.... and you will hear this a lot... take it slow, and take it steady, if your dogs will let you :)

Keep posting, so we can support, encourage, sympathise and shove you a little :)

Good luck, c25k is fantastic, the first 1 for me was the hardest, you just have to push yourself but take it slow, you dont want to tire yourself out too soon, after that initial shock to the system it gets alot better. Cant wait to hear how youre getting on, keep us posted and well done for getting started :)

Well done, you won't regret it.

I'm about to finish wk3 today and it's amazing how quickly you start to look forward to doing it, something I never thought possible as I'm so unfit and have to make myself do any firm of exercise normally.

Keep us posted on your progress

Gorgeous dogs by the way x

It's called gait analysis. I was going to do it but the shop that did it the shoes were all crazy prices. I went to Sports Direct and found a pair that were comfy, haven't had any problems. I did get pains in my shins when I started but lots of people seem to get that, if you do slow down a bit.

Gorgeous dogs ☺hello n welcome ☺

That sounds like a great plan! I am sure the dogs will love it!

Lovely dogs - I run with my two and there are certain logistics you need to account for. I do laps on a field so I tend to wait until the first drops the present and then leave the leads and the bag on the side of the field. This works great until helpful people either try and give the leads back to me or think they have found unused leads and walk off with them!.

Anyway, great to see another one about to be bitten with the running bug :-)

You might find the following helpful (post is mine, wisdom is others): healthunlocked.com/couchto5......

Keep us posted!

EDIT - I can't spell two apparently

Hi there - great to see you gearing up to give this a go! With helpers like those three you should go far!

As the other posters have said, take it slow and easy and you will do fine. Good luck with your first run.
