A quick question - when I am on the screen that shows pace and distance, is that the pace I am running at that moment, or my overall pace?

I think it depends on what setting you have it on. I have mine set to show my av pace at each mile mark so when I finish my overall pace is slightly different from each mile.

Otherwise I try not to look at it too much ☺

Does thatbhelp in any way??

My Garmin 220 has a couple of data screens that can be setup however I want. So number 1 screen has distance , average HR and average pace on it and number 2 screen has current pace, current HR and time spent running on it. These can be mixed around anyway I want . What device do you have?

Forerunner 10, it's pretty basic!

I think it's your pace at the moment, but it takes some time to adjust. Have a look next time you have a walk break.

I have a 110 and I *think* it shows your pace in real time - so the pace you are actually running as you check it - but then it will average it out at the end of each mile/km. I think.

I've the 10 too and it does show the pace you're running at. Agree with dottiemay . I have to slow down to look at it clearly so the recorded pace drops but you can pre set your pace on it , then it flashes up 'ahead of pace' or 'behind pace' (if you set the beep /alarm it will also beep ) ... Great if you can see well!

Are you off the ic Curlygurly2 or preparing all your gadgets?

Thanks Jaxsy, I am off the couch, been running again for a few weeks. I started with Laura, one run from each week, I thought it prudent to take it really easy. Today I'm hoping to do a non stop 5K.
