Been away for a while but run was OK

Hello everyone this was my first run in 12 days because I've had food poisoning and every time I wanted to go out I was either busy or freezing  (harder for me since I'm asthmatic) with snow!!! But I'm back and my run was OK it wasn't great because I still had to stop but it was way better than I thought it was going to be since I've been away for that long without running (well plodding) I had to stop for stitches in my ribs and I had a strange encounter of numbness/ pins and needles in my foot when walking home and at the last 60 secs of running it went away when I sat down at home ... To the people who suggested slowere is better when running thank you so much it has helped :-)
