Feeling very proud of myself having completed week one today. Had a nice run along the tow path. Felt really good and feel like I can increase the jogging part for next week with out dying now. My calves feel abit tight though anyone got any good tips??

I finished week one today too! I felt like I could have carried on a bit longer on the runs so that's a good sign for next week. I'm next going to run on Wednesday afternoon, how about you? Not sure about the shin pain, hot bath on the evening of each run and lots of tea seem to sort me out.  I did have some aches after the first run but that was just muscles being used after being in hiding for a long time.

Here's to week two!

Well done. To prevent stiffness, try to build in a stretching routine at the end of every run - it does help.

Just finished week one too. I'm looking forward to the next run on Wednesday, fingers crossed for the weather, it was easier today without the rain! The before and after stretches have helped a little, hope they help for you too :-)

Well done Shellie !

Are you doing the stretches afterwards ? There is loads of advice on here about tight calves if you want to put it in the search box.

I do heel raises and then walk on my toes for a bit. I am always flexing my legs under my desk at work too ! :-) xxx
