Well it's been a bit of a strange week. Last Sunday I was up very early, 6am, to play the devoted husband and took my wife to work, so I clad myself in lycra and after dropping Siobhan off went to the park to run the parkrun course as I didn't get there on the Saturday. Had a really poor run and only managed 3k, although the speed wasn't too bad. Waas a bit dissapointed so was looking forward to getting out again to put things right. Didn't manage to get out until Thursday morning though and managed 5k again but I deliberately took it slowly, Friday morning was terrible weather so went to the gym and hit the treadmill for 3k, was concentrating on speed though and doing sub 6 minute kilometers which worked ok, was pleased when I got to 3k though. lol

So today was a beautiful but chilly morning so I went to the parkrun not really expecting too much and after getting bogged down at the start as it was so busy I thought it may be a struggle to get anywhere near my PB, was feeling good when I got going aand the crowd thinned out so stretched my legs a bit and only went and finished in 30m 30s, a whopping 59 secs quicker than my previous best, to say I was somewhat gobsmacked was a bit of an understatement.

My 1 million step challenge is going well, just about at the half way point for days and over 560000 steps completed so well on target!

All in all I'm feeling pretty good, I had also lost another 5lb at my slimming world weigh-in on Monday too, total loss now 6st 6lb, only 8lb to target now.

That was my cunning plan, I know I can go sub 30 minutes If I'm being stalked! Could you cope with the civilisation over here in Yorkshire though? ;)

Ha! My mother and generations of her family were born in Thirsk, so I know your definition of "civilization" is actually just having electricity 😉
