A friend of mine suggested I try running in Dutch trainers, as they build muscles and help with over-pronation. I ordered a pair on Amazon that arrived this morning. Hooray!
Went for a quick run before lunch and these things KILLED MY FEET!
The pain was bad enough, but the noise they made was just awful. I sounded like a horse.
I had a couple of compliments from other runners, who liked the colour scheme, but they both thought the materials were questionable.
Has anyone else tried Dutch trainers? If so, what did you think?

I feel for you. They must have been so uncomfortable. Maybe hang them on your wall. Wouldn't like to run in those. Even looking at them make my feet hurt lol.
You're right... I think I have to question her motives.
So far, on her recommendations, I've tried a leather swimming costume (looked great, but sooooo heavy), custard gloves with a ham hat (attracts wasps!), and edible wallpaper (again wasps).
I can't believe that you didn't do any research on these first. They are well known to give you splinters although, if you get lost in the woods during winter, they make excellent kindling.
The custard gloves are a winner. Marathon runners are ditching the glucose gels for these bad boys 😁😁
Oooh , they look soo beautiful ! I love them. Not to run with of course.... People must have been thinking you lost a bet. Better than running with a pink tutu.
