Dead Shoes

I was going to post a picture, but it is too traumatic. My lovely bouncy Asics are no more.

I got home the other day to find them in bits all over the living room. Hubby hadn't shut the dogs in properly and they got my shoes.

I keep looking despondently at the remains.

But, on the bright side, I will have to buy some new ones !

No they were still ok , I only got them in December as a graduation pressie to myself.

Oh no ! You will have to dog/husband shame them Put a pic up with signs around their necks with " We ate Mummys shoes , sorry not sorry " on it Ha ha

Oh you will have to go get some more , its the least hubby can do to make up for it

Poor little Treacle looked so sad when I told her off. I was so cross I  said "Don't even look at me dog!" She spent the whole evening trying to look at me without me noticing. The older dog just kept out of my way, but did look guilty.

Isnt it heart rending when they turn on the big puppy eyes ? Arrgh , it turns me to mush . You want to be mad and you are mad  , but you just cant bear the guilty looks and those eyes !!   They know when they've done wrong though , don't they ?

The old girl is Honey a 12 year old lab who should know better. You would never guess that Honey is a golden lab and treacle a black lab cross.

I knew a lady who had 2 black labs and they were really destructive if left alone, for even a short while. My pugs aren't on their own much ,but when they are, they just sleep luckily xxx

What is it with dogs!  I just had to buy a new exercise mat as mine was chewed beyond redemption, nibble here, nibble there.   Grrrrrrrrrr

Hopefully will have new shoes tomorrow and will introduce them. It is nice that I can buy shoes without seeing the "What are you buying now?" face.

Oh no!  I had a kitten about 25 years ago who completely chewed up one of my new beautiful Bally shoes.  I was inconsolable.  Looking back, I can never understand how a young impoverished secretary (as I was in those days) could ever afford Bally shoes.  I had loads of them!  Couldn't afford them these days (or maybe I just worked out that credit cards actually have to be paid off somewhen ...)!

Ooh I had some fab Bally black,patent leather evening shoes with gold linings.  They were to die for.  They lasted me for years 😊  I was a poorly paid shorthand typist but I was worth it ☺
