Walked up to Central Park this morning (about 10 mins) and improvised a route along the paths in the lower part of the park. There was a fair bit of up and down. Kept it slow and steady, and no problems at all. Felt I could have run further or faster (although probably not both). Feel like I'm really getting the hang of this now. Just one more run to graduation. 😶 Been great to run in a new place, as it shows me I can run anywhere, I don't need to stick to my familiar route.
And yes, busted out the vest top for the first time, it's been so hot here. 82 degrees the other afternoon. Today we leave the city and head north.

I have not run in Central Park - but there is a lovely run along the Hudson River which I have done a few times a couple of years ago when visiting New York.
Next time I am definitely getting to Central Park - your runs sound amazing!
Ooh lovely. There's the High Line as well, a kind of urban walkway that follows the route of a disused L track and one of the few places you can walk in the city without constant traffic interruptions. That has some great views of the Hudson. Possibly a bit busy for runners, depends when you go.
