Hi Friends,
Well it's started the final jaw dropping Week 😀 Sorry does the excitement show? 😳 Well with my new armband iPhone holder I set out on a cloudy miserable late afternoon as I crossed the road on the warmup walk met a 'Fellow Runner' and smiled with the 'Runners' Smile 🙃 And approached Tesco's Express and Laura came on to tell the 5 minutes were up.... Met a Woman walking a Highland Terrier she tried to get him to the side of the pavement and he couldn't understand why I couldn't run in the road!!
Soon Laura came on to tell we had been going for 5 minutes and body was just telling me in was warming up and to give it a another 5-10 minutes 😂 I thought of 'The Flying Scotsman' and all steam trains and how you have to wait until the boiler was up to Presure before you could move 🤔 Now maybe I should do that? So as I climbed the hill Laura came on to say 'That's 10 minutes....' And we had 20 minutes to go... Did anyone else notice that Laura seems to be like a Father (or in My case Godfather) when you have taken the stabilisers off Your 👸 Princess's bike constantly telling You how long You have done... How long You have to go and telling You not to go to fast and how well You have done almost as if she was hovering round You ready to catch You... 😟
Well as I started back to the house Laura came on to say 'That's 15 minutes.. And halfway..' So pace was good and even though the weather was 'Typical April' always looking like raining and I swear I felt some drops on my face 🌧 Crossed the road and then Belinda Carlisle and 'Heaven is a Place on Earth' which gave me the push I needed and soon Laura came on (The Over Courteous God Father Again 🙄) 'OK that's 20 minutes Your doing Great👏' and I turned the corner and started down the road a Mother and Daughter walking a dog approached and stopped to let me pass and I said 'Thank You' and smiled 🙃 And kept going then as I approached the end of the road 'Eat Sleep Rave Repeat' or as I like it 'Eat Sleep Run Repeat' 😂
Laura came on to tell me 'OK You have 5 minutes left....' (And of course loads of stuff to keep me going the 'The Over Courteous God Father' syndrome 🙄) and the road seemed to become 'A Moving Walkway' I seemed to be getting to the main road a lot faster than it did on the way down!! But looked at My watch and 29 minutes!! 😱 That came up fast! And then Laura came on to say 'That was it!! Slow Down..' Wow WK9R1 done!! I just thought maybe the weather was reflecting what I was wearing..... All in Black (well except for My blue shoes) oh I had yellow and black socks (My Tribute to Floss and to remind me not to forget her 😚) Thanks to all of YOU for the support and for the virtual clapping and back slapping that I get on every run... 👏 R2 coming soon to a pavement near you......
