I recently read "Running Like a Girl" by Alexandra Heminsley and loved it. It's given me a bit of a craving for other running books. Do any of you lovely people have and recommendations? Xx
In need of a read: I recently read "Running Like... - Couch to 5K
In need of a read
I love that book and keep going back to it. I've just read "Don't Stop Me Now. 26.2 Tales of a Runner's Obsession" by Vassos Alexander ( Chris Evans' side kick on Radio 2). Very funny and he even talks about gremlins! Others similar to Running Like A Girl are:
"No Run Intended" by Hannah Phillips. Short and very funny.
"Nell McAndrew's Guide to Running" is good too. Lots of advice and not so much amusing as factual but still a good read.
"Your Pace or Mine?" by Lisa Jackson.
Enjoy!
You could try...
'A Really Long Run' by I. M. Tired... Or, 'Which Route is This?' by R.U. Losste..or even, 'Keep On Running@ by Ken. I. Stoppe !!
Sorry, I just could not resist...I am bad!
Seriously.. this is one I enjoyed.. Born to Run: The Hidden Tribe, the Ultra-Runners, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall
Once a Runner and Again to Carthage, by John L Parker. 2 of my favourie books of all, let alone running books.
A life without limits by Chrissie Wellington is my fave running book so far
Also read Born to Run and Eat and Run and they were both quite good too.
I just started reading this today! Glad you liked it, gives me hope because I just read Murakami's "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running" and to be honest found it quite boring.
