Did my 20 min run yesterday and feeling weak and tired.  First 10 mins was hard going but I did find second 10 ok.  Hopefully i will be fully charged and ready to go on Monday for Week 6.

Hi Tilly,

I think most people find the first 10 minutes a slog 😥 I put mine down to my body getting used to the running again. So probably I think Week 4 I started just doing some stretch excercises and some knee excercises as they are the ones that come back and bite me 😖 Now in Week 8 when Laura comes on after 5 minutes and says 'OK that's 5 minutes you should into your stride and feeling comfortable...' And Yes I was... Week 5 is the BIG one because it's the first time You have run without stopping for that long!! 👏 It's not easy so well done!! The thing I have found is that You have to find the right pace to fast and You will get a stitch to slow and you will beat yourself up for not doing better it will take a while but you will find your own pace that You can keep so as to do a steady run for each of Your splits... If you look through the blogs You will see a lot about doing it slowly not to rush I know I went out like I had a thing to prove and got hit by stitches and had to slow down... Just take it slowly and You will find Your pace... Good Luck for Week 6 and when you reach the end Laura will tell You something that will make You smile 😊  'YOU are a Runner!!!' And wear that smile with pride because YOU deserve it... Keep On Running 😉

You'll recover! Are you drinking enough water and keeping hydrated? It's a good feeling though when you think about what you've achieved! Well done!😊

Not sure I am drinking enough. I take half a bottle with me and have a pint of milk when I get back as it's good for feeding the muscles.

Oh well done you - I'm repeating W5 as had felt rough last week and had a rest after the second run. Much better this evening and feeling positive about completing this week.  Good luck with W6 :)
