W5R3 I was all ready for it yesterday until the storm hit but did it this afternoon and I’m well chuffed with myself 😃
It’s amazing how week 5 seems so long away in the first few weeks, then it’s suddenly here! I felt a bit unsure about how I’d manage week 5, as I started run 1 I couldn’t imagine running for 20 mins a few runs later ?!?!? But run 2 had me on a complete high-first 8 mins were tough then loved the last 8 mins and all I thought is I just need to bridge that gap of 4 mins 🤷♀️ and jobs done ✅
Graduation seems so much closer now, however there is a lot of work and achievements to be made getting there. Each week has been a great achievement, a greater achievement than the week before, but this week really feels like I ‘got it’. Haven’t looked at what week 6 holds - as I like surprises but can’t wait to get out there and started, and then come back here and talk about it!!!

Well done 😀 Marcia-H on running for the full 20 minutes of W5R3, that is a milestone run with C25K, 😊 🏃 however. be careful with run 1 of week 6, that catches some people out, take that run/walk slowly. 😊
Thank you-I will definitely take that advice! I have heard a few people a bit dis-heartened starting week 6 - best advice so far that works in any situation is go SLOW!!!! 🐌🐌🐌
What a happy, positive post and what a lovely photo! You’ve been bitten by the running bug alright. 😀 Well done on your awesome 20 minute run! 👏👏
W5R3 has a habit of doing that. It’s the first real landmark of the programme. But beware W6, especially R1 and R2. Have a read of other people’s posts and stay slooww. They don’t look like anything, but they’re something!
But you’ve got this! You’ll be just fine, so enjoy your running! Have tons of fun! 😀🏃♀️👏👍💪
Fantastic Marcia! Completing W5R3 was the best feeling! You just know you’ve turned a corner and you can most certainly do it!! Massive well done to you. Remember to keep it slow and steady as you go into W6. There’s a bit of a transition that isn’t always that smooth for many and sometimes the elation of W5 doesn’t prepare us well for staying in the same slow and steady mode. So don’t try to push harder. Just keep going in the same way you have done so far!! Brilliantly! ❤️
Thanks-great advice! The common denominator with approaching week 6 is the slow mantra-which I can definitely do! To be fair I have 2 paces-snail pace and snail with heavy shell pace 🐌😊
Congratulations! Great to hear your journey which I can relate to, as I'm sure a lot of the other members can too. y. Did my 20 minute run this morning. It's a great feeling isn't it 😁
Congratulations! Just catching my breath from completing the same 20 min run. It took me three attempts to make the step up from W5R2 but it feels awesome.
Oh my gosh, I'm doing W5R2 tomorrow. Today I felt totally washed out so praying I will be able to take on tomorrow's challenge. Well done for doing so well.
I felt exactly that on run 1 and if I’m honest a bit worried! But run 2 couldn’t have been any more different, it’s been my favourite so far! The first 10 mins is always hard regardless of any run-so after accepting that and feeling a shift I just really felt ‘relaxed’ in the second half and enjoyed it that much I didn’t want to stop!
I’m going to tell myself that I may now have an awful run at some point just so I can deal with it and move on but I loved W5R2! Go with the flow and hopefully it will be a good one for you too 🤞🏃♀️
