Now What Week is it next Week? πŸ€” Oh yes Graduation Week πŸ€—πŸΎπŸ…πŸŽ½

Hi All,

Well I have to first apologise to everyone in Scotland and the North of England 😳 I'm so sorry☹️ I did warn You that I was looking at getting shorts and that this would probably bring a Cold Snap β„οΈπŸŒ¨ And it happened!!!

Well we were here WK8R3 next week is The BIG One😱 I started My 5 minute warm up thinking of the Run...... Next Week..... Should we leave or stay in the EU..... Salad or Sweetcorn with the Baked Potato and my right hand was hitting something as it swung back! Again it went back and thud!! So I looked back....😱 What the *$@&! A Irish Setter was just there smiling I looked back further and there was this Woman waving at me!!! I like to have like to waved back but it wouldn't have been a nice sight!😑 Now don't get me wrong I Love Animals but this was just as I went onto the main road!! Anyway back to the run....

Laura started to count down 3...2..1... And I paused her and started RunKeeper then resumed Laura and started stop watch... I had decided that I would run without my bib and had a bum bag on but it was facing front because the headphones wouldn't stretch!! So soon the 'That's 5 minutes....' Came from Laura and then as I ran down the hill to go up the next one I saw some commotion by the turning I usally take so decided I would do my old run and to slightly modify it!! So I climbed the hill and then down the Private Road met the man I see most nights with his dog and exchanged the familiar nod and hand wave.

So on came Laura with 'OK that's 14 minutes and halfway' and I crossed the road as I had decided to change the route and go down a road I use when I cycle everything was going well and the rain had held off and turned and started the final leg half way down and a Ambulance passed me I thought to myself 'Honestly I don't need it πŸ˜‚' getting to the end of the road and Laura came on to say 'OK that's 20 Minutes' at which I was a bit confused but after all that has happened this week with Laura I just kept going and turned to run back...

So I was close to to the end and then came Laura 'OK it's time to slow down and start the 5 minute warm down.....' Then ended with 'If this is the first run you have done you will have to complete a further 2 runs before You move on to Week 8...' What!!! Laura this is Week 8 and I have a minute to go!!! Get a grip Woman!! Then as I turned to go back onto the main road 'OK that's it time to slow down....' Oh Laura get yourself together for next week! πŸ™„ It's the last week and we need to be a team with one goal!!! Have the weekend off and come back fixed and ready to complete this program....

Well the flags are ready Champagne is on ice.... Splits were 7.47...8.06...7.46...7.55 not as good as Wednesday but the 8.06 was down to me looking at the commotion and trying to work out what to do.... And as we all say.... Slowly slowly.... So Again Thank You to all for the Great Support πŸ‘πŸ€— and to all who are moving slowly through the program 'Believe YOU will do this😊' and to All 'Keep on Running' πŸŽ½πŸ… Next Week Graduation!!! Who would have thought that I would be running for 30 minutes and having such Fun at the start in February the problems with knees in Week 3 the bad back! πŸ˜₯ And DOMS well could not have done this without YOU ALL 😚 I'm so Grateful.

  • Great post OldPapaBear...

Can we believe that you are nearly there... Yes we can!

You have shown so much determination and as J. Wayne would say..True Grit!!

Just keep it slow and steady, and do not push yourself too hard. There is time for distance and speed when you have reached the finishing line.

Laura got lost for me yesterday.... talk about lonely..but we do it anyway, don't we?

    Well done you!!! :)x

You can think of your small, Royal couple... "Are we there yet??? " Nearly!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Floss 😚 how's You? All better now I hope πŸ€—

  • My knee is much better and stronger...thank you....I have done quite a few runs, since getting off the couch... are you neglecting me, too busy with your coming Graduation eh???? Only kidding!!! :)

The Tigger boots have been relegated to walking and very slow practice jogs... but with my old faithfuls on... I am doing slow and long runs and some faster slightly shorter runs.. It is fun!
