I was visiting the West Country this weekend and thought I'd take the opportunity to become a parkrun tourist. My nearest parkrun was Longrun Meadow at Taunton, there were quite a number of tourists attending today and we received a very warm welcome. This was my third time being a tourist and always find the atmosphere and friendliness at parkruns great as you can always find someone to have a chat with, very sociable! Never got a PB today, but pleased with my time in the very windy conditions of 26mins 51secs, coming in 115 out of 242 runners and 3rd in my age category which has pleased me no end. Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend of running! 😊

Brilliant Frank ! Well done and enjoy your Easter weekend xxx
Thanks Chris, have you been out lately? xxx
Hi Frank ! I was planning on going out yesterday, the weather seemed perfect for a run, but my sore throat/cough came back and I darednt risk it !

Good for you Frank! Parkrun is fab int it. A run round the park with some like-minded folk with tea and bacon sarnis f'rafters. Can't beat it!
Yes it was rather windy out there today but not the worst we've had. She said tempting fate!
Glad you had a good run, and that it's a friendly one. I lived in Taunton before moving over here. Lovely part of the world! Looking forward to finding out which one will be my local when we move back next year
I'm sure that you will find a parkrun just as friendly, they are good fun. Happy running.
