And don't forget that you can change the font to italics, bold and underlined by surrounding the words with:
Italics - square bracket i square bracket example square bracket /i square bracket
Bold - square bracket b square bracket example square bracket /b square bracket
Underlined - square bracket u square bracket example square bracket /u square bracket
Here is an example for the word Hello in bold
[ b ] Hello [ / b ]
The '/' slash symbol tells the website when to turn off the boldening. I added an extra space in the example so that the website would leave the example showing how to do it. If you use this technique, you don't need any spaces.
How do you mean? If I make a post or a reply and I specifically want you to *you* to read it (apart from everyone else) then I tag/mention *you* in the post.
I mean - if you were to tag (say) poppy pug, how would i (as an independent reader) know you'd tagged her as I'm using reading a number so I can't see who you're 'talking to '
P's I do feel very much like my mother asking this 😳
Me tagging poppypug alone won't alert you that I've tagged her. But it will alert Poppy .
It's simply a way of getting a specific person's attention to a post you're making.
Example: I make a new post (new topic) about winning the London Marathon Not everyone will read it cos none of us read *every* new topic do we? But say I wanted specifically YOU to see it? I'd tag you in the post, then you'd see it in your notifications.
Hmmm I dont get this either , whats the difference between " tagging " someone and just writing their name in your post ? Arent you having to write their name anyway regardless of whether youre tagging them or not ?
Please excuse my ignorance , I am a complete numpty with anything technical
Who's ran orf with my smiley's Theyre not working , neither is my sad face xxx
poppypug goonkeepgoing So I've 'tagged' both of you. Everyone can see this post but I've specifically 'mentioned' both you so that I can be sure you'll both see it.
