I was planning to do my second run this morning. My knee was a little tight when I got up but I thought it was normal morning aches and pains so I put my kit on. By the time I got to my shoes it's really stared to hurt - sounds like it's grinding :(. So... Ibuprofen cream on. Rest it today and hopefully I'll be able to run tomorrow. Funny though... I thought I would have had my aches yesterday. I'm not falling off the wagon though - I'm determined to make it through - my first week might be an 8 day week now though
Devastated!: I was planning to do my second run... - Couch to 5K
Devastated!
I'm sure someone will give you a proper reply re: injury. I don't know much about it all myself but I do know that you have done the right thing treating and resting it and I also know that a week does not have to be a week!
The main focus is to get yourself feeling comfier and to just get back out there when you can safely.
Good luck xx
Rest-ice-compression-elevation, right? But why not also call NHS Direct and see if they have advice.
Don't panic! Pick this up again when your knee is better. Doesn't matter how long the program takes but not giving up is the key! We'll all have some sort of set back I'm sure but this forum is great for encouragement and support. Bex
Follow advice and rest up until it feels better. The grinding would worry me...ouch!
Maybe get it checked out... hopping through to Graduation...not funny!
That doesn't sound too good. You might need to rest it longer, frustrating as that is.
Chin up honey - told you this forum was supportive!
You'll soon be out there again, you've taken the hardest step, the first one, and you really loved it so keep remembering that feeling and when you can you will continue.
Got myself an I-tunes voucher so might ring for an IT savvy sister tutorial later if I'm struggling with running music!! Lol xx
