C25k, anyone with podcast trouble?

Hi everyone, I've noticed towards the later stages of the program, w8/w9 mainly, my c25k podcast clock is running a lot faster than my runkeeper app. For example, Laura would say congrats you've just completed a 30 min run then I'd check my runkeeper and it reads I've only run 22mins. Also installed runtastic app and it's exactly the same. I've checked it on 4 separate occasions and always the same results.. What's going on? Could it be my phone that's the problem? Feeling disappointed with the fact I've not been running the full 30min when I thought I had.

How much time has elapsed on your watch? It seems unlikely that the podcats can go out of sync without you noticing as it is continuous music.

It's a strange one, I actually run my iPhone stopwatch against the c25k w8 podcast this afternoon, starting at exactly same time including the 5min warm up walk. Then checked my stopwatch 2min into my warm down walk, after the run, and it read 26mins in total. Now that way out. I've also noticed whilst watching the timer on the podcast the seconds look like there counting faster than a normal stop watch.

Just to clarify, do you mean the podcasts or the app? The app can be very flaky, but the podcasts (mp3s) should be rock solid.

Hi john, it's the podcast. The apps I refer to are: runkeeper and runtastic.

Look very carefully at the screen when your podcast is playing as there is an option to play them at x1.5 speed and it sounds like this is what is happening to you.

Completely randomly do you find runkeeper sucks your battery dry? I was doing a three mile run on their up yo 10k programme and I must have been running for a good half mile more before it occurred to me that I hadn't heard the bored automaton for a while. Found it had sucked dry at 2.7 miles which was frustrating

Hi, yes I seem to have the same problem, think it's the fact it uses GPS that eats battery life.

I think you're right. What is so annoying is that I went out with 94% charged battery yesterday and that still wasn't enough. It packed up after about 40 minutes. It had also taken yo turning off if I've got 40% and start using 3G. Probably the phone is past its best?

Hi, make sure you've closed all other apps on your phone before you start your runkeeper. That should save battery life and hopefully last til the end of your run.

Good luck☘
