I've never been one to eat after a run but I've been told that's a bad idea - you need to refuel. But what do you go for after a run? I'm never particularly hungry; generally I have lots of water and then just wait until the next meal.

What to eat post run?
Depends how far/long the run is. Under 2 hrs, nothing, really because it hasn't depleted body's normal energy stores. Unless it is an early morning run which I have run fasted, in which case I just have normal breakfast of a green smoothie and some protein.
If its more than a couple of hours, I'll have a banana, some milk, maybe a sweet potato if I am in carb-loading mode (seldom).
After resistance training sessions of an hour of more I have a smoothie with whole milk, some cottage cheese, couple of scoops of whey, a sweet potato and 10g of BCAAs with a couple of hard boiled eggs.
I find that my body regulates my hunger quite well. I tend to run in my lunch break, and on the days I do, I end up having an extra slice of bread with my lunch after the run.
I would say do what you feel is right. At this point dont get hung up on the 'do this' or 'do that' and carry on as normal!
My body tells me what it wants, usually after even a short interval session I'm hungry straight away, after a longer run my appetite is pretty suppressed until the next day. I just go with it, with out over eating.
