First day nerves

Hi everyone,

Just finished W1R1 and wow was that tough. Joined a while ago but unable to start because of evil flu really taking it out of me. But took on lots of your advice about going slow and steady and I'm really chuffed I made it 😄

Just hope I can finish what I've started.

Fantastic, massive well done to you :) The hardest part is getting started & you have. If it's easier think of it like this, only 26 more runs till you graduate :)

If it doesn't make it easier just ignore that sentence haha

Have faith in yourself and follow the plan, it has amazed me how I've progressed already.

Getting out there and started is the hardest bit, just try and focus on the after-run high feeling that you reach, it is all worth it!

Well done. I'm starting week 2 tomorrow, I thoroughly enjoyed 1st week even though I was aching a bit. I am doing some gentle stretching before a run now, which is helpful. I have also invested in some decent trainers, and I can't believe the difference

Cheers guys, although 26 runs eek, might not focus on that 😉. Good idea with the stretching, I'll look into that BarbaraV. Actually looking forward to it at the moment, healthy me here I come 🙂. Thank you for your support xxx
