Hiya. Just wanted to say that I had my first bad run on Friday. I can't believe how much it knocked me. I was quite upset about having to walk, after only about 10 minutes and getting a stitch later on was awful.
My husband was lovely, saying that I'd done so well so far, it was only one day. ..maybe my head wasn't quite right etc. ..
I came on here to find that lots of bad runs happen and I had probably been lucky to get to W8 without one.
Anyway yesterday I redid W8R1 and smashed it. ...did an extra minute, just to poke it in the eye!
Thanks for all your posts, I don't often comment but it's great inspiration, and funny, just reading them. ☺

Very well done to you! It's tough to come back after a bad one and smash it, but you did, that's awesome I think the tough runs make you more determined and are good for making you appreciate the good runs so much more
You're doing really great, keep it up, not many runs left until graduation.
Your husband sounds like a diamond. He's right - bad runs happen to us all. Well done for gagging those gremlins and getting back out there. Onwards, forwards, and trainerwards, kiddo - graduation is in sight!
Try not to let a bad run get to you too much. We are not machines and our minds and bodies will react to everything that is going on in our lives, including lack of sleep, what we eat, worry, stress and anything that weakens our immune system. It wouldn't really be natural I don't think if every run was always a complete breeze. A bad run just means you have a good run coming up to look forward to. Keep positive and keep running. You can do this!
Well done you. I am also finding week 8 a real tough one. I moved house last Friday and actually live right next to a parkrun site. But it is a steep hill down [albeit lovely] and a mountain on the way back. Having found 25 minutes relatively easy, I have totally struggled this week. But I have taken heart from your post - a couple of bad runs don't make a fail. I think I will stick with week 8 until I feel really comfortable about my new route.
