Thanks to Couch to 5k (and Couch to 5k+) and all the lovely supportive people on this forum, I have gone from the 3rd hole on my belt to the 5th since the start of September, which equates to a weight loss of about 7kg. I suspect I really need to buy some 34" waist jeans...
Thanks everyone!!!

Good for you! It feels good to be lighter doesn't it. I dare say you will run quicker! Keep up with the healthy eating. It's a life-long thing. ONce you get into the habit of it then it becomes second nature.
Yes, its nice to be able to wear jeans and a nice leather belt & buckle and not have an overhanging gut! I doubt whether I'll get into the 32w Wranglers I could wear many years ago. But, never say never!😉
She's doing really well on it. She barely has any syns at all and nearly all of our evening meals are SW recipes. She hoping to hit 1st loss this Friday at weigh-in. She started about a month ago.
Feeling that your clothes are getting looser makes you feel dead thin. I kept a lovely pair of jeans on a hanger on my wardrobe door. Lovely Per Una jeans, with embellished pockets, that my husband bought me but I couldn't even get them over my knees. In the end, by the time, I tried them on again, they were too big. Doh! I took them to WW class where we sell clothes that are too big for us to raise money for the chosen charity, so nothing goes to waste. He bought me some more bless im!
Always make reasonable goals, break things down into smaller do-able chunks and then keep chipping away. Healthy eats! Ditch the junky stuff as it's that which sabotages your efforts. It's expensive too, so by getting rid of it and eating healthier alternatives you can save dosh with which to buy running duds, and smaller jeans o'course.
Stick at it too. It doesn't happen overnight or easily. You have to be dogged
Such a good feeling when your clothes get looser and you can go down a size. Really helps if you are not the only one in the house trying to eat healthily. You'll have to get your wife on here doing the c25k! Or is she here already?
No, I've tried persuading her to start C25K but she is very time-strapped. The only exercise she really does is a bit of walking in her lunch breaks and when she's out shopping at weekends.
