I went for my 3rd run on the week on Saturday morning with my brother and instead of a 20min run we did 5K in 32mins with a killer hill at the end too.
Felt pretty good considering its the longest and furthest I've run.
I'm going to take a few days break and hit W6R1 on Wednesday knowing I CAN do it!

Don't overdo things at this stage as if you're not used to running you will get hurt! Stick with the programme and you'll be fine. You can venture a bit further once you've graduated. It's so tempting to push things early on but really it's best not to
Yeah it was a one off and made me feel good as my brother has done a half marathon and wolf run but has been "off the boil" for a while, he woke up aching and I felt fine.
Agree with misswobble totally.. take it steady...not sour grapes, but time to hit the heights when you have done the whole thing maybe? Be horrid to fall at the last post...eeeek
Amazing distance and speed too, well done, this shows ur confidence is growing! Take it easy, you still have some runs to go but u know what u can do now LOL
The BIG difference on reviewing the data from the run was a constant ~10min/mi where as when I'm running on my own I'm doing ~8.5min/mi I need to slow myself down.
8.5 minute miles are pretty fast, which is hugely satisfying but also not very sustainable! Calm down, slow down, and watch your distances climb!
And yes, you probably should go a bit steadier while your body gets used to regular running, but there's nothing wrong with going out for a bit of a burn sometimes and just running hard then feeling smug 😉.
