Slightly off the pace

It doesn't look as though I'm going to hit my 100K/month target for July. I'm currently at 68.8K so to hit 100 I'd have to do slightly over 10K every remaining day in July. It's theoretically possible but, as we have visitors, it's unlikely. I did manage 9.3k this morning in my first-ever run with Endomondo, having ditched MapMyRun. This morning's run was good but not as good as I'd hoped. I was aiming for 10K in an hour but had been up at 3am to sort out a partly flooded garage, so I was tired to start with, then had to stop mid-run for an emergency download. But it's a measure of what is my new norm that I can be dissatisfied with "only" 9.3K in an hour. When I started that was way beyond expectation!!

I'm sitting here chuckling to myself on reading your post Ned, once upon a time we were happy with 100 seconds when referring to time and distances. Now your talking about 100K in a month, I'm speechless, well almost. ;)

Have you noticed your Tag on this post too, its 'Flooded' not sure how they added that to their tags unless they were thinking of roads being flooded, not good though having your garage, I know ours is heading that way today FAST, very heavy rain non stop so far. Hubby now concerned about the electrics!!!

Yes, it's amazing how far we've come, both literally and in how we feel about ourselves. Hope your garage stays dry (it's raining hard here again!!)

We had a new roof put on 2 years ago as the old one became sieve like, now the rain is pouring in through the area where it butts onto the gable end of the house, just above the back door to the kitchen. Got the cleanest kitchen floor ever cos I have to keep mopping it :(

I reckon your kms should count double in the heat. Well done for keeping with it as much as you have.

Thank you. To some extent I'm weather-indifferent (I likes it hot, I likes it cold, I loves it in the rain!) but I particularly like the thought of it counting double!!
