Opportunity to be a park run tourist in Edinburgh

Does anyone have experience of the Edinburgh park run they would like to share? I will be there the weekend of the England 6 nations match and am thinking of giving it a go. Nearly all my running experience is on dead flat Tarmac or paving.

Both courses are run on Tarmac. Edinburgh is run at Crammond which is in the north of the city; Portobello is in the south east of Edinburgh so it would depend where you are staying as to which is easiest for you to get to

Think we would need to uses buses or taxi to get to either. Cramond looks a similar set up to Southsea where we also run on a promenade.

Not done these but Scottish park runs usually start at 9.30, so just check.

The one at Cramond is dead flat and you run beside the sea so lovely views. Easy parking.Havnt ran it for wee while but found it very friendly. I know of 4 or 5 c5kers who do it. Haven't done the Portobello one but know the park well. Think it's 2 laps round the pond. Where are you staying?

I love doing parkrun as a tourist. Every time I go away I look to find the nearest one. Haven't found a bad one yet, though Huddersfield was tough.
