Completed W7R1 yesterday albeit at a snails pace. Google fit recognized only 7 minutes as running and the other 18 minutes as walking. Hope to improve on speed in the next two days as the running time is same.

W7R1 completed
Hey, we two are on the same page. I too completed W7R1 yesterday at snails pace. In fact I almost gave up 2 minutes before the end, took a water break, walked for 30 seconds and finished as I started - slow jogging.
I was quite tired - physically and mentally and slept early yesterday.
Looking forward to W7R2 tomorrow.
You might want to make that another W7R1...
Nope.will do r2 tomorrow. So far I have not repeated any runs.will try to run faster though.
sivrarraman1968, you don't need to repeat. It's Shri who didn't complete W7R1 because of walking in a run segment so needs to give it an extra go. (Well, no-one *has to* do anything... but that's what is needed to complete the NHS C25K programme and claim your graduate badge here... we wouldn't give one to Mo Farah if he just rocked up and asked for one, he'd have to do the programme first!)
What might be worth you repeating (or doing if you haven't already) is having a good read of postings from people who have successfully completed the programme and carried on running. And if you still think you should be focussing on going faster during the programme, asking yourself why. (Laura does start to suggest you pick up the pace for the final minute if you've got it in you at the end of some of the last runs)
The key word here is 'completed' That's all you are trying to do in the NHS C25K - that keeps you safe and teaches you to be able to run continuously. There's a suite of NHS C25K+ podcasts for afterwards, including working on speed.
My Fitbit thinks I never go for a run...
Don't try and speed up! C25k is not about going faster. It's about finishing each and every session. You can work on speed when you have built up your running legs, and that's a way off yet
Slow is good!
