...and managed 6 of the jogs/brisk walks. Bit gutted but will really try to do whole 23 min podcast in 2 days' time. Did other people not manage to complete the podcast for day 1 but then manage success later on?

Thanks

Liala

We are all so different and start the programme with different levels of fitness. Just take your time and go really slowly to begin with - you will be surprised what a difference that can make at this stage! The great thing is you got out there and started the programme, so don't feel down-hearted at all - be proud! Repeating runs and even weeks until you are ready to move on is fine. Far better than over-stretching yourself and ending up injured. Good luck with your next run ( oh, and welcome to the forum😀!)

You got out there are started! Well done ... it will come. Use this programme to suit you, repeat weeks if needed and be proud when you've cracked a new goal. Hang in there and it will all be worth it :-)

Yes - lots of people repeat lots of runs/weeks and they get there. You've overcome a major hurdle going out the first time. Well done and good luck.

Oh Liala, everyone is different. Some people go through the programme in 9 weeks doing each run only once. Others end up repeating runs and whole weeks over and over until they feel ready to move on. We're all different and it's not worth comparing yourself with other people - they may very well be younger, lighter, fitter and an ex-school county cross country champion who swims a mile a day and cycles 80 miles every weekend!! Ok, that's an exaggeration but you know what I mean. We all start from different base fitness levels but eventually we all end up running for 30minutes by the time we get to the end of week 9. Just take your time and do the programme at your own pace, and that at way you should avoid injury. Very best of luck and keep posting your progress :)

That's a great post from AncientMum, you will get there Liala. Just repeat until you can finish. Your stamina will improve and you will be surprised at what your body can do.

I had to get my husband to pause the app so that I could sit down and catch my breath! I have since done several 10k runs and run 5 miles on a regular basis! You can do it - I promise. Just keep at it and it will all fall into place. Don't expect it to be instant, I don't think I actually enjoyed a run until about week 7!
