First time out in my running shoes since 1998! Knees a bit dodgy....

Well done for getting out there again - I agree with Oldfloss. Proper warm up at the start. Go steady, go slow, plenty of stretches afterwards. :-)

You can do it!

I hadn't exercised for over 20 years and had a dodgy knee too. It's now stronger than it was before.

Slow and steady. Start off on softer ground if you can. Stretch afterwards and do the NHS knee strengthening exercises on your days off.

Good luck! Just go really slowly and steadily, and stretch well afterwards. And, most importantly, make sure you do your quad strengthening exercises to protect your knees -they really do work! :)
