Still going, and now just a little bit faster.

This evening I smashed my speed record. I did 10 mins 5 secs per mile on Monday and tonight ran 3.5 miles at 9 mins 37 secs per mile. I know speed isn't the important thing, but nevertheless I'm pleased that I've remained disciplined to still being out there after graduating last month. And breaking the 10 min barrier is a bonus.

That is excellent, welll done! It is great when we see progress, it means that we are getting fitter. I found 5k such a battle for several weeks and then, suddenly, I felt great and ran a little further and my speed improved naturally. Fantastic that we have so much capacity to do a bit more. Protect yourself from injury, check that you recover ok from your supersonic speed 😳

Thanks Joolie. Hardly supersonic but yes, its progress. I'm just trying to keep up a routine like I did in the final few weeks of the C25k programme. My weight is slowly going down and I feel less guilty about overindulging at the weekends.
