I usually have an apple and a coffee when I get up , then do my school runs..... Come home and then go for my run ..... Week 7 run 1 today and I decided to mix things up a little and had a banana..... Think I'll stick to my apple as I felt like I was going to throw up half way through ..... I managed to finish tho 🎉🎉 still shocked I can actually run for 25 minutes. Lol ☺️☺️

Well done on reaching week 7 - not far to go now!

I think we all react differently to taking on board nutrition before a run. I can eat a banana ten minutes before I go and no problems, but a couple of months ago I though I would try one of those ready portioned packets of porridge about 30 minutes before a morning run and I felt like I was running with cement in my stomach!

Generally it's best to stick to what you know works, but that does get a bit boring now and then!

Bananas can be quite indigestible which is why you should allow a goodly amount of time before you start running. They are good fuel though so don't write them off. Apples are lovely running food too of course. I like mine with a heaped teaspoon of almond "butter" Mmmmm

well done on your 25 mins, sorry you felt so poorly tho

If I'm going straight from work, I'll have a banana and a glass of milk - but at least hour and a half before I 'run'

I usually do have apple about 2 hours before but I was running late that morning and it was more like half hour I think ..... Won't b doing that again. Lol ty. ☺️

I did it after 6 vegetable pakoras, absolute mistake.

They were delicious though.
