A different route...

Week 3 again... Run4. I have managed to complete 2 of the w3 runs and only walked 5 secs on the one I didn't, but still feel kinda intimidated by the prospect of w4... So decided to have another run through w3 before I embark next Sunday.

Out the door by 7am with my 15yr old daughter for support. So quiet and lovely... Then a group of lads heading homeward on the 'walk of shame' suddenly appeared walking towards us, one of whom was wee-ing against a tree indeed. I was expecting heckling, which we thankfully didn't get but - as I normally zigzag back n forth quite a bit on the same route - we decided to take a different route to avoid asking for trouble by passing them twice more.

So glad we did... Good run, next to the duck pond and heckling from moorhens and mallards instead, then encountered a group of teenage squirrels and an avenue of fat conkers.

So thankyou to the lads who didn't heckle, and probably didn't even notice us, but made us take a different way :D

Sounds like all is going fine. Lots of us repeat runs or weeks until we feel ready to move on. Absolutely the way the programme works. I often have my fifteen son accompanying me - nice to have the company sometimes.

Happy running!

Thanks :) sometimes I feel like everyone else is zipping through weeks and I'm plodding along. Nice to know it's not just me.

I love going wirh my daughter. She's so much fitter than me but it's great to have her there encouraging me on :D
