To 5K at a very very slow 52 mins (I blame my short legs) but I made it.

Felling happy this morning if not a bit sore (they have me doing squats at the gym)

:)

Well done that's great. I was glowing with pride for days after my first 5km and my time was quite similar to yours. Happy running.

Well done! Don't worry about time, just as long as you can manage to run for 30 mins and beyond, and reach 5k, that's great in it's self. Speed will come as you keep pushing on naturally.. As for soreness keep well hydrated, and stretching & moving those legs..

Well done! It's great to clock up that magic distance!

Speed doesn't matter - you will get a bit faster with practice.

That's what I thought and i'm sure as I get fitter and stronger it will show in my times, its not going to change the length of my legs though ;)

Congrats!!!! Keep on running. Carefully!!!!!!!

I was doing squats in the kitchen this morning and was finding them agonising. I think I'm seizing up. The trick is to keep moving I think. Onward, always, as Miles would say

I have short legs as well, as I suspect do many of us hereabouts, but it's not what you've got but how you use it that matters, so keep getting out there and doing your stuff. No need to be fast or far. Steady as she goes.

Have fun!

Absolutely fabulous, that's how that first 5K feels isn't it? My time was similar to your too, I'm happy I started out there as I've had loads of PBs chipping off a little every few weeks - you'll do that too! Happy running xx
