I went out today as all the teenagers were walking to school and past the bin men too without incident, I can run anywhere and anytime now. What is your running nightmare??? 😖 Julie

Well done you!

Mine is just running past anyone! I always speed up a bit when anyone is walking or running towards me, so I hope the pavements are quiet when I go out.

You'll lose that self-consciousness in time. Really you will. Before you know it you'll be jogging along past pubs and in parks with throngs of folks and not give a stuff.

Folks aren't concerned with you at all. You just think they are

I am a teacher and today (day off) I carefully planned a route so that although I have to pass school, the timings both ways would mean everyone would be in lessons and not see me. However I bumped into an elderly neighbour as I was leaving the house and she likes to talk. When I finally got started my timings were all out and I ended up bumping into some staff and pupils right at the end of my run when I was all purple-faced and sweaty! Fortunately everyone was very polite and didn't comment on my appearance. Pretty close to a nightmare really.
