Eager to complete my R2W1 but it is pouring with rain where I am. However if the BBC weather app is to be trusted I have a window of opportunity coming up at 11am. Fingers crossed. Trainers and wet weather gear at the ready.

Have you tried running in the rain yet, it is lovely :) especially when the weather is hot. Running in the summer I welcome a nice cooling shower :)

me too, so long as it's not streaming down my face so I can't see ;) I get really really hot while running so it's nice to have some drizzle or light rain to shower me as I go!

Agree with Zev. A cap is good though just to keep it out of your eyes. Good luck and we'll done on the commitment.

No never ran in the rain apart from running for cover😀. I will definitely be going out today but waiting for it to die down a little. A friend told me it was pleasant running in the rain, like a shower. I will report back what I think later. 💦🏃🏼

I did my fist run in the rain today and think I preferred it to the heat and sunshine. Not sure I'll feel the same when it is cold too but there are so many things that are surprising me about my reaction to running who knows!

Just got back and I... enjoyed it! Had the park all to myself. My wet weather gear could be a bit more waterproof. I think it's shower proof not monsoon proof. I think it is Onesie time now.

I love running in the rain as I get so hot it cools me down. But today is a bit much for me here on the east side of the country. I always wear a cap when running. It keeps hair off my face, sun out my eyes and mops up the sweat. Yes hot chocolate and onesie time!

Yes some kind of hat is really useful. As you say great for mopping up the sweat :)

I dont need to keep hair out of my eyes as it is only about 2mm long :D but that means the sweat runs freely into my eyes if I dont where a hat.

I am also very pale skinned (red skinned if I'm not careful), so a hot to keep the sun off is essential.

So, lightweight baseball cap from sports shop for summer, woolly hat for winter :)

Yes and got totally drenched but thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had the whole park to myself. Due to the wet conditions I ran nice and steadily. Very excited for my Wednesday run.
