Spinning Wk5 R1 as a basis for timing.

Not a great day today. For some reason the tendons in my upper foot have become sensitive every since I stopped running, and I have various aches and pains that seem to now be accumulating to the point where I'm going to have to just ignore all medical advice one day, and just go and run them all out. I know that a run fixes these things, and that a bed makes them the worst that they can be, but for the time being, I'm sticking to common sense, and I've booked another visit to the doctor tomorrow, just to let her know that things have gotten worse, not better. I hope it's not because I'm still doing too much exercise. Might be. Might be that I'm going to have to go and lie dead still on that couch and not say boo, next.

Anyway, went for a limp to warm up (and the limp cured whatever was causing the limp, so by the end it was a walk), and then tried that 5 + 5 + 5 interval set on the spinning machine. The first one was a mess because the seat wasn't right, which started to hurt my left knee (uh oh), and then the headphones snagged on things ... etc ... it was less than 5 minutes.

The second interval was a bit better in terms of things not going wrong, but it was really hard to keep up a near running effort. Same for the last one.

I think I'll do it again the day after tomorrow, rather than move on. I've got all the time in the world, now, so might as well use it. Maybe things improve by then. Oh, and I'm starting to get numb hands occasionally, too. Hope thats not too bad a portent.

Just go steady and maybe get those hands checked out too

Thanks. Yes, I'm actually trying to make notes of all the more alarming changes, otherwise I tend to forget them. I have this habit of telling the doctor that everything's all right, having gone in there with intentions of mentioning something that isn't, and forgetting it.

At least the hands have very brief periods of numbness, but it's much more perceptible than the foot numbness. Sometimes I go for quite a while before I realise a foot has picked up a numb spot. (Hope I don't end up with a numb liver or something :-) )

Look after yourself. Not heard back from the doc yet?

Thanks. No, I'm going to see her tomorrow. I think I'm a bit early, but I'd like to maybe arrange the biokineticist appointment etc. before waiting to see if I need to go and see the neurosurgeon.

Yes I can understand you wanting to get some info and push things on a bit. Best of luck Gary :-)
