Nice thing about Parkrun is that they standardise the result in terms of gender and age and some other stuff they don't reveal, so that you can measure that result against the standard of the entire Parkrun universe. Go and examine the results of any Parkrun, and one thing you'll see is that there are very, very few people whose "percentage score" is almost at 60%. That's impressive! (By comparison, my running percentage is something like 43%, and it's not so bad). Well done! (And there: I've given you another target to go and hunt down, now :-) )

Whoop whoop! Punches air and does a little dance of joy

Cheshire cat grins are totally understandable in the circs. Keep smiling, keep running. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha!

Thank you Misswobble - such a good feeling! I crossed the line and the guy with the stopwatch who is an old friend said 26 something something .... My reply was "What? Are you serious?" Had to wait patiently for the times to be confirmed but grinned for several hours afterwards! :) Volunteering next week so no pb but going to do the route beforehand so as not to miss out.

Thank you - I was well impressed until I saw that my "Baby" brother completed his "nd parkrun in 26.16!!!! Grr - I think I may have to do something to his knees! Then again he is 15 years younger, a foot taller and half a stone lighter!

Mine was my slowest yet on Saturday, 35 mins, though I had felt it had gone well!! But some days/runs are better than others, so hoping next week will see an improvement. Find pacing an issue, still have a fear of not being able to finish! Onwards though, all about doing the best we can where we are at.

Exactly - I will never be under 20 minutes like some crazy people but I am happy where I am at! Happy running.

I've not done Parkrun for absolutely ages. Not run properly for ages as far as that goes, but I hope to be back soon

We are all addicted to Parkrun in our family! :) My beautiful younger daughter is not a runner but is going to come and volunteer instead.

Well done! That is amazing 😃 I have only done a few park runs, however I have heard they have set one just around the corner so I will give that one a try!

Happy running 😄
